Terms of Service

Last updated October 3, 2026

These terms apply to chickencoopplanner.com and to the build plans sold on it. ChickenCoopPlanner is operated by Semion Kremeniuk, a sole proprietor based in Ontario, Canada ("we", "us"). By using the site or buying a plan you agree to these terms.

1. Orders and payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Lemon Squeezy, who is the Merchant of Record for all orders. Lemon Squeezy handles payment, sales tax, invoicing and billing questions, and their buyer terms apply to the transaction. Prices are in US dollars; applicable taxes are calculated at checkout.

2. What you get

  • A PDF build plan generated for the configuration you chose: space check, shopping list, cut list, cutting diagrams, drawings and assembly steps.
  • Instant download after payment, and a link in your receipt email to download it again.

3. Your license

When you buy a plan, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

  • view, print and keep the plan;
  • build as many coops from it as you like, including coops you build yourself and sell.

You may not resell, share, upload or otherwise redistribute the plan or any part of it, or use it to build a competing plan or configurator. The site, the configurator and the plans remain our property.

4. Accuracy and your responsibility

Plans are calculated from the flock size, breed and climate you choose, using conservative sizing and span rules. They are a guide, not an engineered drawing. Lumber, sheet goods and hardware vary by store, and material lists and cost estimates are approximate. Before cutting, measure your own materials, check the plan against your site, and confirm local building codes, permits and zoning. Many areas regulate keeping hens and the size of outbuildings.

5. Safety

Building involves sharp and powered tools, heavy lumber and working at height. Follow the tool manufacturers' instructions, wear eye and hearing protection, and get help lifting heavy parts and roofs. Predators can be dangerous and determined: check every latch and gap. You build and use the structure at your own risk.

6. Disclaimer

The site and the plans are provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, and we are not responsible for injury, damage, loss of animals or other loss resulting from building or using a structure, or from errors in a plan.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the site or a plan is limited to the amount you paid for that plan. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

8. Codes and bylaws

You are responsible for complying with building codes, permit rules, zoning and any bylaws on keeping poultry where you live. The plans mention thresholds such as permit limits as a reminder only.

9. Refunds

See our Refund Policy.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; the terms in effect when you bought a plan apply to that purchase.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without affecting mandatory consumer protections where you live.
